According to the Department of Basic Education (DBE), all systems are in place for the release of matric exam class 2022 SC results 2023 on January 20, 2023.
This despite a late-year investigation into scandalous cheating allegations involving teachers and students.
While the department is still processing the exams, it encourages students to go to the institutes where they took their exams in order to receive their results on the same day.
The Department of Basic Education (DBE) set the 20th January 2023 release date for the 2022 matric exam results last year, with the final exams of the year written in December last year.

Despite allegations that a group of Mpumalanga teachers and students used WhatsApp to cheat on certain exams last year, the department said today that everything is on track to meet the January 20th release date.

There were some concerns that, following the conclusion of the department’s investigation, the results release date might be pushed back or that some students’ results would be withheld.

The department has not released any new information about the alleged scandal, and the release of the marks appears to be proceeding as planned. As a result, the government body has also specified additional important dates for matriculants both new and old to be aware of.

These are the last days for students to apply for remarking/rechecking (3rd February), the last date for students to register for June exams (8th February), and the last day for students to register for November exams (11th November) (15th March).

Having said that, the department reports that it is still processing exam results, about ten days before the deadline. It is urging students to collect their results “at the centre where [they] sat for the 2022 National Senior Certificate examinations,” according to SA News.
