Candidates for Primary Education 2021 who have completed their exams will be allowed to use this format. The Test Structure of Primary Education Completion will still consist of 40 questions, each of which must be answered correctly using an optical mark reader (OMR). Additionally, answers to question five (5) will be written on the opposite side of the OMR form (Please see Attachments).
The introduction, general objectives, general skills, test structure, and skills to be measured by each subject are the five paragraphs that make up this format. The Examination Table, which lists the abilities to be assessed, the cognitive fields, the amount of questions, and the percentage of weight for each nimble, is also set up at the conclusion of each subject format.
In general, the format offers advice for examiners, reviewers of teacher-created test questions, and those creating tests based on reliability, legitimacy, and fairness. The Council underlines that all primary school courses should be taught competently and according to suitable lesson plans.
This format for the primary school exit exam is not meant to replace summaries.
NECTA PSLE Results 2022/2023
The PSLE 2022 September final examination was started on 05.09.2022 and was finished on 06.09.2022. The Matokeo Ya Darasa La Saba 2022 will be out on October.
1.Make sure you have the 2022 Exam Schedule prepared by the Tanzania Examinations Council.
2. Before opening any envelope containing Exam questions, make sure that you read the name of the subject on the relevant envelope and make sure that the subject is the one that should be done at that time according to the Exam Schedule.
- 3. In case of conflict between the instructions contained in the Examination Paper and the Examination Schedule, the instructions contained in the relevant Examination paper shall be followed.
4. Blind candidates and those with WEAK VISION should be given an EXTRA TIME OF 10 MINUTES PER HOUR for the Kiswahili, English Language, Social Knowledge and Science Test.
5. Blind candidates and those with WEAK VISION should be given an EXTRA TIME OF 20 MINUTES PER HOUR for the Mathematics test.
6. The supervisor of VISUAL candidates should be an honest professional with the ability to read text and ‘Braille’ symbols.
7. Candidates with WEAK VISION should be given test and answer sheets with enlarged text, prepared by the Tanzania Examination Council for their use.
8. The answer sheets of candidates with WEAK VISION should be sealed in an envelope
special. They should not be confused with the papers of candidates with common sense.
9. Candidates should be directed;
(a) Entering the examination room half an hour before the time of the examination and those who are late for more than half an hour after the commencement of the examination will not be allowed.
(b) To follow all instructions given by the test administrators.
(c) Writing the test number correctly.
(d) Not to communicate verbally or in any way between candidates. If the candidate has a problem, he should reach out to ask for help from the examiner.
(e) If they engage in cheating they will have their exam results searched

HOW TO ASSIST A FAILING STUDENT
Initially, involve the parents. You should still involve the parents early on even if you don’t think they will have an impact. In the end, it is the parents’ responsibility, not ours, to teach their children, therefore they must be aware of what is happening.
However, do not only inform them that their child is underperforming. Tell them how they may contribute specifically to the cause. Although many parents want to assist, many are unsure of how. Use phrases like “We all want so-and-so to succeed, and I believe he will if…”
(Speaking of parents, read my piece “What to Do with the Parent Who’s Driving You Crazy” if you have any that are becoming difficult to deal with.
Every chance you get, intentionally assist the pupil. Make it a priority to assist your underperforming students whenever you can. How you do this will depend on your grade level and the structure of your class. In order to go around and assist individuals, I offered pupils in my middle school math class time to work on problems. Check on your struggling kids even if they didn’t raise their hands. And if they do raise their hand, pay close attention to them.
Encourage them. Just imagine how they must feel, given how angry and depressed we may become when our students aren’t performing well. Yes, there are moments when it appears that they don’t care, but this is frequently only a ruse to mask their frustration. We must offer them all the assistance we can. Tell them you believe in them and that you think they can achieve by praising them for even the tiniest successes or improvements.
Give people the opportunity to reflect on themselves. Encourage the pupil to reflect on themselves. Depending on their age, I may give them a brief questionnaire, but for middle school and high school students, I ask them to: 1) list all the reasons they believe they are failing; and 2) develop a strategy for improving. Then discuss it with them, encouraging them and offering them other suggestions (and occasionally prodding them to think a little deeper).
We are all aware that a kid may just stare blankly in response to a query like this. But don’t let them off the hook. Wait and allow them some time to consider it (while you do something else, of course). Alternatively, you might start a conversation by posing questions such, “Do you believe not finishing your homework is part of the problem?”
Examine what you can do to assist. Even though it’s a straightforward concept, we don’t do it enough. What can you as a teacher do to aid the student who isn’t doing well? You might not receive much of a reaction, but you never know what they might say. Then you should unquestionably take action.
Search for underlying issues. Find out what the actual issues are that are causing them to struggle. Do they truly struggle to learn? Do you encounter issues at home? Do they require vision aids? Do they engage in excessive video game play? Without ever addressing the root of the issue, we frequently try to address its symptoms.
Make sure they do their classwork. Do whatever you can to persuade them to do their work, even though I know it’s easier to say than to do. They should at least be required to strive hard; don’t just let them off the hook. Continue your efforts with them. Even when it seems as though nothing will ever change, we cannot give up on our pupils. Sometimes it takes months or even years for the effects to appear, but that doesn’t mean we should give up. We must demonstrate to our pupils that we believe in them. It’s a decision we make, not something that changes based on our mood.
Let them fail if everything else fails. Give them a F when you’ve done everything you can and it’s time to evaluate them. It’s obvious that they deserve it. I am aware that this is prohibited at certain schools, which is unfortunate, but if it is, please mark the report card with an F.
Their needs are frequently best served by repeating the course rather than just moving them on to the next grade or course.
Students who had to retake my Algebra I course demonstrated to me the value of this (either because they failed or as a recommendation because they barely passed). The second time around, they always do considerably better, and they leave the course with more confidence. Sending them straight to Algebra II without any assistance would have only led to further failure and confusion.
